About us

We are a 32 place nursery for 2,3 and 4 year olds in the heart of Epsom town. We are based within Epsom Methodist Church, a thriving hub within the community.

We have been continuously providing quality childcare and education since 1999. Our aim is to create an environment which feels like an extension of a child’s own home. An extended family and a space where children feel safe, happy and confident to learn and grow in our stimulating and well - resourced space.

Our carefully selected dedicated and well-loved team have a wealth of experience and qualifications. Our high ratio enables us to provide a unique relationship based curriculum where children are valued and celebrated as individuals. Children’s thought, feelings and ideas are the first step in all of our learning experiences each day.

We start each day with ‘together time’ in our additional classroom - the Hartley room. We follow our morning routines and share our latest news and curiosities. We spend each day learning through play with free flow access to our outdoor areas. Children are our curriculum at RTG. We follow interests that we share and complete projects to enhance our knowledge and understanding together. Our relationship fostered approach allows our teachers insights and deep understanding of each child’s needs and next steps for development. Our group projects are paired with daily nurture groups, where our teachers support children to build their skills in readiness for primary school.

In addition to our everyday learning through play, we also enjoy weekly music sessions with our pianist Mr Morris and daily sessions of yoga and dance. Our children enjoy baking in our fully equipped kitchen each week. We like to try different foods and recipes from all over the world to enhance our learning experiences.

At RTG, we foster a warm, inclusive community where children learn to build friendships and feel connected. These positive interactions are foundational for developing confidence and resilience.

Our families are welcomed to join us on our journey of wonder and learning each year by contributing to our plans through regular meetings with teachers. We love to celebrate together at RTG and Epsom Methodist Church and are extremely proud of our ever growing community. Parents, carers, siblings and other family members are invited to various events throughout the year to celebrate and create special memories to treasure together. Our community Christmas events are magical, giving children quality time with our wider community, again creating lasting memories. Different cultures and religions are celebrated, offering real life experiences to understand and care for the wider world. We engage in intergenerational workshops throughout each year which are always lots of fun and help children develop kindness and empathy.

We are fortunate to have many areas of interest on our doorstep. We regularly visit Rosebery park for nature sessions as well as providing real life experiences with opportunities for children to engage with the community by visiting the market, library and variety of shops and small businesses.

We encourage children to reach their full potential at Ready Teddy Go. We aim to offer a wealth of rich experiences for children who are each a valued member of our community. We support children to build confidence and truly express and celebrate their individuality.
